Outlaw Class Development

We have compiled another report on the Skyforge development process. This time we will look at the development of a new class! This is serious and painstaking work and a real adventure for the entire team. To make the story more interesting, we will show you how the Outlaw class was created.

A new class is not just a challenge for us as developers, but also an excellent way to put our artistic skills to the test.

CONCEPT

Work on a new class begins with selection of the spot it will occupy within the existing palette. The game's class designer and art director determine what kind of experience the new character specialization will provide to players.
Every class in Skyforge carries out a certain role (attack, defense or support). The designer must first select one of these roles and outline the distinctive features of the class, before taking his requirements to the rest of the team.
All those involved in the design, concept, animation, visual effects and sound get together to discuss what the class designer wants and find ways to implement that vision. Or they come up with something new if the team cannot implement the designer's wishes or come across technical restrictions.

What personality will they have? Will they be good or evil, more fantasy or sci-fi? What will their weapons be like? How will it differ from that of the other classes? All this determines the external appearance of the weapon, the animation and effects of the future character.

Various ideas are generated and reviewed, after which 2-3 focuses for further development are selected. The end result should be sufficiently exciting, interesting and not too expensive to produce, in order to keep to the deadline.

Production takes around 6 months. This is the time from when the designer and artists start developing the new class concept until the final quality control check. It took around 4 months to create the Outlaw. We were able to reduce the time thanks to our team's great experience, a smaller amount of class abilities and a clear vision of the end result.

DEVELOPING ABILITIES

The designer puts together a document outlining the mechanics of the character's abilities. Because we are working on a game that already has a considerable number of classes, the new class's DPS must lie within the range of the existing standards for each of the three roles. Individual cases are taken into account as well as general cases:

  • maximum DPS during a Burst,
  • DPS AoE,
  • along with their duration and frequency.

As well as sorting out the numbers, we try and make each class special with unique and useful skills and control features.

So the Outlaw turned out mobile but not very resilient. He moves fast and can evade attacks, but is rather vulnerable to direct damage, and cannot boast the powerful defense skills that are inherent to the Necromancer, for example.

It is very important that the class skills "cover" all the character's basic requirements: damage to bosses, small groups (3-4 targets) and large groups (5 and more targets) of enemies, the opportunity to defend against attacks and powerful abilities with a lengthy rollback. The class should also have abilities with additional effects, which are activated randomly. This gives the player the chance to apply an enhanced version of abilities right away, providing a more striking impression from a battle.

The designer also sets up ability effects for PvP. For example, the Outlaw can escape the enemy's focus while using Lead Carousel, which is very helpful in the arena. This possibility is simply not needed in PvE and instead the ability inflicts greater damage and restores the Outlaw's energy.

Before the Outlaw appeared in the game, there were no classes that could effectively destroy tanks and characters in divine form. That is why we decided to give him the Head Hunter talent, which deals with this task extremely well. Duel stance ability damage is counted as a % of the target's maximum health, which enables him to effectively deal with enemy tanks.

The ability mechanics should motivate the player to press different buttons. It makes the player happy when abilities strengthen one another and are activated at a random time! They start to think about whether to use an ability now or accumulate resources and discharge all cartridge clips later?

It is important not to overdo it when it comes to abilities. So the ultimate Barrage ability in the PVE version has an additional AoE effect. If it worked in PvP, the ability would be too strong as it would be extremely difficult to avoid damage from it.

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT

Everyone knows that one of the key features of the game is the ability to freely switch between classes. To ensure that even novices can navigate the many possibilities, we highlighted four "layers" of visualization, which enable you to quickly understand the representatives of each class.

  1. Animation (stance, battle stance, displacement, attack and abilities).
  2. Weapons (type, form, volume, color, internal movement).
  3. Costume (character, style, animation, materials, color).
  4. Sound (character, dynamics).

All this underlines the individuality of each class. This is why Skyforge does not have a Knight with a pair of daggers, a Cryomancer with a hammer or a more absurd weapon.

Here we should note one nuance that is characteristic of our game. Class image is not primarily built from a figure's shapes, contours and colors (we cannot directly control with these parameters, but only indirectly with a well thought out costume), but from the form factor and the grasping (and attack) method of the weapons.

When the task is clear the concept artist steps in and tries to visually render the class image. The art director leads the compilation of a reference mood board that brings together visual images for each of the selected focuses. This could include photographs, illustrations, screenshots or any suitable images. A draft line is then created — several character options are presented for comparison. The line takes around a week to put together.

As well as shapes and color (weapons or costume), the concept artist determines what materials everything will be made of as this will affect the object's render engine. Skyforge uses physically based rendering (PBR), so objects look different depending on the surface properties (gloss, matt etc).

When the line is ready, the concept artist takes it to the team. Taking a fresh look at all the options proposed, the creative director and art director select the optimum variants. The necessary revisions are made to the draft concept and an estimate is given for the production term of all the necessary materials: textures, effects, models, animation, sound and code

EFFECTS AND ANIMATION

When we decided to bring an Outlaw into Skyforge, the game already had two ranged ability classes - the Archer and Gunner. We had to create something different and we decided to favor realism over fantasy and sci-fi.

Production usually starts with animation and then effects are developed. But when it came to the Outlaw, animation and effects were developed in parallel, for most of his abilities concern shots, hits and the connection between these events. When we started working on attack and ability effects, it became clear that new references were needed to visualize skills. The Outlaw's revolvers are not very big and cannot therefore produce the same powerful effects as say the gunner's plasma beam.

Films, photographs and videos were used as sources of inspiration. We watched recordings of shots in slow motion to study the effect frame by frame. For certain particularly significant abilities concept art is even created. This could be a single picture, an entire storyboard or simply a sketch on a piece of paper. Sometimes this is enough to transmit the idea and start creating the effect.

For example, a phosphorus bomb explosion is the prototype for the outlaw's strike.

Creating effects for each class, we aim to highlight a few main colours. For example, Cryomancer effects are blue and white, Berserker effects are red and Witch effects are pink. So any player can recognize what class is using an ability if not the specific ability. Effects cannot always be attributed to some element, which can help determine their color. Ice is white, fire orange, but what color is magic? The more classes there are. the harder it is to make this choice - a rainbow has just 7 colors, but we already have 14 classes! So it is inevitable that colors will cross and we use different graphics and animation to differentiate between the effects.

First of all a simple effect is created, comparable to the outline of a painting and the technical animator connects it to the game together with animations and a game camera. The size or position of the effect may need to be changed, as well as the movement trajectory and so on. Once everything is assembled, we can start in on more details: adding different elements, movement dynamics and color. Taking into account testing and edits, preparing the effects can take from a few hours for regular shots to a week for complex ultimate abilities, which are usually assembled from several related effects. Such an ability for the Outlaw consists of several layers: shots, bullet stream (which is modified depending on distance to target), hits on enemies, firing revolver barrels, flying shells, as well as the lens effect on the camera.

The stronger the ability, the more it additionally influences the weapon. Sometimes to achieve the necessary effect, we use additional functions: impact of the effect on grass and bushes, lighting from light sources, camera shaking and radial screen blurring.

At the same time as preparing effects, animators start creating outlines for future animations. Rough outlines of abilities and features are created on weapon "blanks". Thus we get an almost complete image of the future class, but not in detail (concepts, pre-visualization, animation).

The Outlaw was from the start intended to be a rather fast and agile character, Shooting is performed in any direction. To ensure smooth transition effects, we use the Morpheme program, which allows us to mix such animations. For example, the Outlaw can move back and shoot to the side, but he will always look at the enemy after shooting.

Class weapons in Skyforge consist of various components and can transform while being used. All weapons can become compact outside battle, while still indicating what class you have before you.

The technical animator supports the designers throughout all stages of animation and effect development. He establishes the rules for playing transitions so that the final variant looks natural. He also creates an object in the editor, to which the geometry (model skeleton), animation network (connection) and effects connect, configure and communicate with each other. Such a system consists of several dozen components and a few hundred variables and scripts, which regulate the reaction of the object to differences in the various parameters. For example, if we change the character speed variable, a special script processes this change and sends the relevant parameters to the animation network. As a result, the character starts moving in a way that corresponds to the specified speed (slow steps, jog, run).

At this stage, work also begins on ability and skill sounds.

PROTOTYPE ASSEMBLY

The next stage begins when the class designer finalizes the mechanics. This is a special set of server scripts that describe everything the class can do with the help of its skills. When a rough gameplay prototype is ready, the designers can use it in their work. This enables the team to test out the results with "live" gameplay.

Often at this stage it becomes clear that some abilities do not work as they should or that they can be improved. The designer discusses possible corrections with the team and the necessary changes are made. This process can be repeated several times, if the team has the resources and time to implement what they want within the deadline.

For example, in one of its first iterations the Outlaw's Dancing Grenade ability looked like this: The character through a bomb and shot at it, getting the projectile to go right over the heads of the enemy! Great! Yes, but it does not give the player any special experience. After a dozen uses, the ability stops having the wow factor and starts to get annoying.

Therefore, the ability was changed to make it much more interesting to use. Now you choose what direction to thrown in and the projectile reaches the target in several goes. This means the enemy can move away from the trajectory of the throw, and dodge it in PvP. This makes the ability more interesting. And enabled us to make the damage from mines greater. More explosions — more fun!

At this stage the entire team fine tunes the the external appearance of the new class (animation, vfx, sound), adding details and accents.
The concept artist finalizes the weapons and costume (and proceeds to alternative, additional variants), while the animators and effect designers work on more advanced attack and ability versions.

After getting a more or less stable version, the entire team tries out the class on the test server and then meets up again to evaluate the results and exchange comments. The mechanics designer and arts director have the last word here. Many animations, mechanics or sounds can be sent back for revision.

When the effects have been confirmed and connected, sounds are recorded along with animations for class abilities and skill icons are created. The same color and elements as the effects, or characteristic for class poses are used but in a simplified form.

The class icon should describe the character as clearly as possible: it could depict a weapon or some easily recognizable characteristic ability element.

The team then meets again and more corrections are made. Usually work on promo illustrations for the future class also begin at this stage.

APPEARANCE IN THE GAME

When the class reaches players, we closely monitor their feedback. For the designers, this is a chance to obtain an objective evaluation of their work and the class designer will gain answers to key questions.

  • How convenient is it to play in the new role?
  • What problems are players coming across?
  • Are they using the class's full potential?

It is difficult to predict all variants of how things will play out. Usually it becomes clear after a few weeks where damage needs to be increased or weakened and the errors that need to be fixed.

Dear players!
Update 92.1.126.01 is here! The main change affects adventure cards. Surplus elements have been scrapped and visual enhancements added. Now when you open the card you will get all the information you need. And it will look good.

The changes have also affected the preview on the globe and the adventure list. Mini versions of the cards show more information and the list is visually clearer and more attractive.

Important:

We have already increased the amount of Might available in Bastions. You can now get up to 27000 points of Might from one structure, make sure to prepare yourself for the coming Demon invasion!

Quests

Reality Rift

  • At the spot where the quest is carried out, a boss will appear of the same rank as the character, activating the altar.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some directives in the quest interface to be in the wrong group, be duplicated or lost.
  • Similarly, fixed an issue where the Reality Rift directive would show up incorrectly in the quest list if your storyline quest was in the same area.

Interface

  • Following activation of Trewang’s Idol, a sign will appear above to the character's health bar showing that the idol has already been activated in the current battle.

  • Adventure card design has changed!

General

  • Difficulty level color differentiation has been removed. It was relevant before the card displayed the adventure rank. This is no longer the case so color differentiation was removed.
  • Display of the estimated duration of the adventure has been removed.

Adventure List

  • The card preview no longer displays instance completion reward information - this info did not have any practical use as all the cards had the same information.
  • The card preview now has icons for the important rewards you can earn during the adventure.

Adventure Cards

  • The cards now come up on full screen and have dynamic backgrounds.
  • The difficulty selection panel has been moved up and is next to information about the adventure's rank.
  • A description of the adventure has been added to the card.
  • After entering the adventure, its window no longer opens.

Classes

Archer

  • Fixed the issue where the Archer inside an active Smoke Screen would not get the bonus from the first Aimed Shot.

Game Start

  • Fixed the issue where some players did not receive an ARC companion. It is now allocated in the Divine Observatory after passing Factory 501.

Interface

  • Changed the icon of the Equipment section in the adventure list.
  • Optional tasks were renamed from “Mastering” to “Assignment”.

Known Bugs

  • Some quests types do not have icons.
  • If an adventure has a lot of quests, their icons can be displayed incorrectly on the card.
  • When previewing test area cards, rare and above quality rewards cannot be seen.
  • The large card can only be closed by pressing Esc.
  • Sometimes all possible rewards are not displayed properly on the avatar card.

Other

  • If your Experimental Transport is active, you cannot carry the flag in Esten Quarry.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies in squad and group adventures would have higher prestige than what was displayed on the adventure card.
  • Fixed a bug where you could do squad difficulties that were beyond your prestige rank.
  • Corrected the description of the "Reality Rift" task for Vienes
  • Fixed several bugs which caused the exclamation mark to stick in the Provinces and Skills tab.

The Demons are coming!

Immortals!

The Gorgonide invasion is almost over. The enemy's armies have been crushed, the avatar has been defeated and the distortion generals have been destroyed. Gods and templars continue to win victory after victory. We will soon force the cruel oppressors from other worlds to yield!

But what else awaits us? The outposts and scanners are silent. For the first time in a long time, scientists and scouts have not been able to detect an approaching invader. Outer space is free of enemy ships.

The threat lies in the Astral. Several days ago Metarchus mages felt some strange ether activity. Thousands of astral essences have swept into Aelion, led by a terrible, unidentified force. The way events have developed indicate a demon invasion, but one that is bigger and more serious than ever before. It seems that Nihaz’s Avatar will very soon materialize on our planet for the first time.

The first enemy army troops will reach our planet on August 30th. Get ready for battle!

Protect your planet! The demons arriving in Aelion will try and capture a region every week. After completely destroying all monsters on open territory, the enemy will create their own outposts and then intend to destroy the templar bases. Help the ordinary mortals and fight on several fronts! You need to destroy enemy structures while protecting ally fortifications. Bear in mind that the monsters in the regions will be equal in strength to your characters. Fight bravely and skillfully and you will win!

History of the enemy: Demons

The history of the demons began with the demiurge Saren, incarcerated in the prison-world by the name of Sarnaut. An ancient enemy, the dark demiurge Nihaz, imprisoned him there. Since then many tens of thousands of years have passed. All this time, Saren has been trying to escape and Nihaz has observed these attempts, taking pleasure in seeing an initially bright creator become an evil madman. Nihaz hoped Saren would lose his great gift - his ability to create life, which he had always envied for he was only able to control dead matter and energies.

Saren Demons

Saren created different creatures, hoping that they could destroy the prison world. He himself was constrained and deprived of most of his capabilities. In essence, he was only left with one: the ability to create life, which Nihaz was unable or did not want to take from him. The creatures that Saren first made were completely unable to destroy. But with time the necessary result was achieved. Mages broke the seals shackling the demiurge and maintaining the integrity of the planet itself. A terrible magic cataclysm almost destroyed the world, breaking it up in multiple pieces and the spaces in between these were flooded with astral. Saren, obsessed with the need to be free, created new astral creatures - demons. They were to finally destroy all matter in Sarnaut, which, because of the power of magic seals entwined within it, still held the demiurge captive.

Habitat

Astral is an atmosphere that the gods consider some kind of disease of space itself, where the regular laws are changed and the properties of matter differ from those that exist in the regular universe. Creatures of a higher level than gods are able to manipulate the power of the astral and use this energy to create. Astral can exist in space in the form of giant clouds, left from the creation of the Universe. But sometimes it turns up in planets, in areas where there is a large accumulation and disruption of ether. By itself, astral is not dangerous to planets and for several millions of years, it has dispersed under the pressure of surrounding matter. But the demons Saren created can contaminate normal reality, thereby increasing the area of their habitat.

Escaping into reality from astral, demons form bodies and use these to act. Even on a demon, if he is not stopped, can destroy an entire planet, although it would take millions of years. Lots of demons can turn the entire Universe into astral, so it is very important to be able to control them and their numbers. Thus, Saren made sure they were unable to multiply and the total number of demons is constant because they are immortal. When their physical bodies are destroyed, demons simply return to astral.

In astral, they are all of roughly the same strength, energy potential, and other stats. When lone demons appear in reality, they look like imps. The shape of the imp's body is determined by the general mental field (noosphere) of the inhabitants of the planet the demon has appeared in. If the planet does not have any intelligent life on it or the demon has appeared outside the planet, its body will take on the shape it had when it last "visited" reality.

Demon Types

In contrast to regular creatures, demons can join together to increase their efficiency. Imps are the most straightforward and numerous of the demon types. They can only "contaminate" areas where matter exists in an initially chaotic state, such as gas, and require sufficient free form ether - such areas are rich in magic and the astral is present nearby. Imps are not capable of anything else. As with the stronger demons, imps feel "the pressure of reality", even with bodies. They are not comfortable when they are too far from the astral - they become weakened and can die.

Aggressors are demonic creatures consisting of two demons, merged back in the astral. They can also only "contaminate" chaotic matter, but they do not need free ether to do so, just the presence of the astral. Aggressors are, so to speak, more intelligent than imps and can better evaluate dangers to their "work" of contaminating reality. They are also stronger, which makes things more difficult for the defenders of those worlds that aggressors have entered. But, as with all types of demons, their manner is such that they cannot establish contact, other than through combat, with anyone, even if it is in their interests to do so.

The third and strongest type of demon are the Furies, which are true destroyers of reality. They combine five demons in one, merged together with one common body. They aim to pour out "astral acid" - a substance with poorly researched properties, which literally eats away at matter and reality, gradually turning it into astral. Furies do not need magic or for astral to be nearby. Theoretically, they can pour "astral acid" anywhere, but it is more effective near astral, where it almost doesn't evaporate. Furies, like all other demons, are rarely seen far from the astral that was the source of their escape into reality. Furies can supervise more junior demons, but more often than not they work with their own kind.

The strongest and most dangerous of the known forms of regular demons is the Octhulhu. It takes dozens of demons to create such a creature and the strength of the Octhulhu will depend on that number, although they remain almost the same in appearance. The Octhulhu can lead and coordinate all other types of demons. Because they are smarter, and this is also in proportion to the number of demons in one creature, the Octhulhu can be considered the most intelligent demons. But like the others, they are not capable of any kind of communication. The Octhulhu often appear in places Nihaz has special plans for. Through them, the demiurge is able to observe what is happening, albeit in a very distorted way.

At Nihaz’s service

After a series of events, the demons fell under the power of Nihaz. Like many other creatures, they turned out to be convenient instruments for the dark demiurge. Nihaz needs the demons to be able to easily and quickly move into the worlds that interest him. These creatures can move around quickly and they freely move around in the astral, surfacing at any point of the Universe that has sufficient astral. Many demons act according to their destructive nature. When they land in another world they begin to dissolve it, increasing the astral. Usually, this does not concern Nihaz, unless the world is of interest to him. With the help of the demons, Nihaz has seen a different world and even visited some himself. This is how he found Aelion. This world really intrigued the demiurge.

In contrast to other worlds, where there are mortals and gods, on Aelion you cannot absorb ether bodies, which is one way to achieve greatness. In addition, Nihaz discovered the manifestation of Luminaries, an unseen force that appears in times of deadly danger for the residents of Aelion and helps lead them to victory. All this pointed to the work of a demiurge unknown to Nihaz and he decided to study the people of Aelion to discover their creator. The residents of Aelion do not interest Nihaz even as believers. He is a demiurge and a creature on an even higher level than a great god and does not need believers.

To ensure a good outcome, Nihaz needs a large amount of Astral on Aelion. And this is where the demons, which Nihaz could not have created himself, come in very handy. He was able to build an astral drill, combining many demons in one entity, in which he placed a particle of his own essence. Thanks to the direct aiming of demons towards any astral area, the astral drill can get very close to a planet. It carries enough demons to be able to quickly expand astral in Aelion to the required amount. With its appearance alone, the drill creates a large astral area, making the task easier.

The defenders of Aelion are trying to get rid of the demons, but Nihaz is not too worried about that. It is deadly for mortals to be in the astral, as their ether bodies (the only thing that remains unchanged in astral) are not powerful enough to prevent the disintegration of the physical body. Immortals and gods can remain in astral because their ether bodies are strong enough to maintain the physical body for a long time. But there are not enough of such defenders and Nihaz is sure that the demons will create sufficient astral for him to do his work.

Nihaz does not just use the demons as they are, he is able to expand their abilities in the regular Universe. So thanks to the dark demiurge, the demons have acquired technology. This includes transport ships on which groups of demons can land from the astral drill onto the surface of Aelion. Even the demiurge has found it unexpectedly hard to teach the demons to create such objects from themselves: these creatures are simply unable to understand why you would need an object that cannot contaminate reality. However, despite such restrictions, under Nihaz's leadership, the demons have become much more efficient and dangerous than Saren anticipated. Nihaz selected only a few of the different types of demons, but even that was enough to create plenty of problems for the residents of Aelion.

Immortals!
A demon army invasion is starting! The enemy's first troops have already materialized on the planet. With time there will be more and more of these disgusting creatures. Junior gods will be faced with new challenges and dangers, they will have to repel attacks in the regions, defeat new distortion generals and for the first time ever fight Nihaz, the previously unknown avatar of the demon army's great god.

The start of the tenth season brings junior gods new bonuses in Flavius's Laboratory, and greater available might in the bastions. You can now get up to 27000 points of Might from one structure. New difficulties for group adventures will be gradually unlocked. To defeat all the demon leaders, you will need the latest and most powerful weapons so junior gods will have to acquire tenth generation equipment.

From the second week of the invasion, the demon army will try and capture one of the open regions of Aelion and build special astral drilling machines to convert the planet. The enemy will focus more on clearing and holding the zone. But demons do not sit still for long. They will attack a new region after 7 days.

Templars will try and contain the threat, but they will need your help. Protect mortals, attack the demons and make sure they cannot spread their influence further! The battle will be difficult and dangerous, but you must gain the upper hand over the invasion monsters. Protect the templar bases, destroy the astral drilling machines and receive credits, knowledge of enemies and rare current generation equipment.

New Distortions

The first demon distortion is already available to immortals. Fight the ancient portal guards and earn an epic brooch of incredible power. 
Mash’haad is the guard of the Astral Gates. He received this name in ancient times. Mash'haad used to be a common imp, the weakest and most vulnerable unit of the astral legion, but then one day he became trapped in a distortion. Multiple rebirth cycles and time spent on Aelion changed him. He became stronger and more dangerous.

Demons love to play with portals and for their own amusement they bring enemies together into pairs. If the pairs touch, you are both teleported, and if you approach another hero you are pulled away from each other.

Will you be able to defeat the demonic creatures? We'll find out soon!

Nihaz's Avatar

The schedule for this invasion will differ slightly from the rest. Demons are chaotic and our scientists have not yet managed to create a stable portal into their world. Access to distortions will be unlocked gradually, and Nihaz’s Avatar will arrive on the planet in the 5th week. You will have time to get ready to meet these terrible enemies. This unknown evil, hiding in the depths of the astral, has finally decided to reveal itself to the world.

Now if your character has unlocked less than 4 divine specializations, you will get avatar trophies for completing the invasion avatar's training challenge for the first 1–4 goes! Defeating the avatar in the champion challenge can get you 1–6 trophies, if your character has unlocked less than 6 divine specializations per trophy.

Obtaining the sixth avatar trophy will give you access to senior divinity. We will provide more details about this in an upcoming article.

History of the Revenants

Time: the age of Aeli. The great war.

Since times immemorial, Aelion has been under attack by invaders from other worlds. The brave Immortals fight back against the invasions, but all their power is not sufficient. The united army of Aelion is having a hard time against the invaders, “mortal” population is slaughtered like livestock or harvested like crops.

In the time of all-out combat, a group of Immortals on a mission in a remote corner of Aelion finds an ancient tribe of barbarians never heard of before. It turns out they're also touched by the essence of immortality and have their own immortals that form their Council of the Elders. These Elders are highly proficient magicians serving as priests/shamans while at the same time functioning as the tribe's mightiest warriors. They returned to life after a glorious death in battle which makes the tribe call them “the Returned” or “Ghosts”. The tribes name derives from this: The Revenants.
This separate branch of Aelion’s children is of a barbaric and brutal character. They believe that the only reward is death, bringing peace and closure to every living creature's soul. While killing enemies, they think they're doing them a favor.

Ability Preview: Siphon

The first ability we want to show you is called “Siphon” and is also one of the Revenants signature moves. He draws life from his target with a 3 second channeling cast and draws his enemy to him. After 3 seconds the target will get knocked down and the critical hit chance on it will be increased by 20% for 10 seconds.

Note: The abilities are not yet final and may change before the Revenant is released.

Remember! The Revenant will hit the live servers on September 19th. The Collector’s Edition packs can be preordered from September 6th.

What does the contest involve? Simple. We ask you, the community, to envision what you believe a Skyforge Revenant should wear, or wield, and make your own design! Be it a set of impressive armour or a vicious two-handed axe – design whatever you imagine a shadowy warrior knight in Aelion would wear, or would use to cleave down Aelion’s invaders.

This contest will run from the 5th of September until the 17th of September, giving ample time to get the creative juices flowing. Once the contest ends, we’ll have glorious prizes for the Top 3 winners of each region (12 winners in total).
