Rock and Metal: Toxic Wasteland

Terra is a planet full of secrets and mysteries. The forces of Aelion managed to gain a foothold here despite the resistance of the Draconids. The lizards turned out to be a formidable opponent, but the immortals are not ones to easily give up. We studied them and found a way to decipher their language, which helped us successfully repel their attacks.

But now we are faced with another threat: the Draconids found something important under the planet's surface. According to our intelligence, their discovery may change the balance of power on the planet. They set up a base under an energy dome and started drilling. We must stop this research and disrupt their plans.

Toxic Wasteland

The drill site is in the old industrial zone. But right now there is nothing but scorched earth, toxic swamps, deadly fumes, and the Phytonides that feel right at home in this environment. Among all the chaos, intelligence discovered relatively safe spots where important information can be obtained. Perhaps it will shed light on the secrets of the distant past and help us find out what happened on the planet and why this place is so contaminated. But first we need to figure out how the lizards move through the contaminated area without getting harmed. You must exercise extreme caution: one false step may lead to death.

Dig Site

This base is very important to the Draconids, so we should expect heavy resistance. The lizards use the area's properties as an extra line of defense, but the dangers of the area is not the only challenge that awaits you. The base is protected by an energy dome –– find a way to disable it to get inside. Of course, the control panels are well-defended –– you will have to fight your way past numerous enemies, including officers. Perhaps they have information on how to get access to the base.

The most dangerous enemy is inside. Our intelligence reports that someone named Kerax is in charge of the base. But he is clearly not an ordinary Draconid. According to the radio transmissions we intercepted, Kerax is a sentient Draconid who melded his flesh with a giant mechanical body. If that part is true, then he is a deadly opponent all on his own, but keep in mind that the lizards are quite inventive – they must have other tricks up their sleeve.

Be ready! The challenges ahead are not easy, but we must stop the Draconids and find out exactly what they have discovered under the planet's surface. Perhaps it will help us learn more about Terra's past and gain the upper hand over our enemies. But we shall leave that to our scientists. Our job is to get inside and secure the facility. And try not to raze it to the ground: we need all the data the Draconids have collected so far.

A Sinking Feeling

Avast ye landlubbers! Across the vast oceans of Aelion the Oceanids have rallied around the Great God Tol-Monter for yet another full-scale assault on the surface world. Now Immortals are notoriously poor swimmers... sinking like a stone, despite all their divine glory. Unless you’re all gilled up like the one and only Protheus, this can make our aquatic foes fairly tricky to take on. Best option? Sink them before they can sink us!

From December 10 to January 7, our goal is a preemptive strike against the leaders of the Oceanid Invasion. We ask that all Immortals aim to take on the distortion bosses as early as they unveil themselves. Each victory will count towards a total score across all servers and platforms, leading to grand rewards and blessings!

Sink the Distortions

A successful victory against a distortion boss will count as one point towards the total score. The magically sealed Khelp Lorro, the vengeful Naiad sisters Alciona and Melia, the keeper of vast Oceanid knowledge Wise Latanu, and the instigator of Aelion’s remnants Nautilus.

  • Week 1: A1 Lorro the Cold
  • Week 3: A2 Alciona and Melia
  • Week 5: A3 Wise Latanu
  • Week 5: A4 Nautilus

Sink the Avatar

Defeating the distortion bosses before they have a chance to retaliate will leave Tol-Monter all the more exposed. A successful victory against the Great-God’s Avatar, whether it be Training or Champion, will count as an additional point towards the total score!

Goals

As you face off against the Oceanids, and the total score increases, your rewards will grow greater:

  • Goal 1: 6,000 Points
  • Goal 2: 7,000 Points
  • Goal 3: 8,000 Points


Rewards

Aeli’s Blessing

For each goal reached, additional days of Aeli’s Blessing will be activated for a total of 10 days upon reaching the final goal. While Aeli’s Blessing is active, Credits and Knowledge of Enemies obtained from adventures are increased by 50% for every Immortal!

Sailor Outfit

Your triumphs against the Oceanids and their tumultuous waves will be aptly rewarded with the Sailor Outfit!

Personally defeating Tol-Monter’s Champion Avatar during the course of the event will reward you with the blue color variant.

So, brave the waters and take on the most powerful of the abyssal Oceanids! Only then will we be able toss these flailing fish fiends off our lands and back where they belong! Aeli will reward your bravery...just try not losing your step.

Rock and Metal: Aspect of Vengeance

In the upcoming Rock and Metal update, all elder gods will be able to access the Aspect of Vengeance. You will need an Avatar Trophy to unlock its bonuses and new features. The gold node, for instance, will allow characters to use the ether essence of distortion generals to upgrade their equipment!

If your Temple of Deeds is not fully unlocked yet, we have good news for you: in the new update, you can get up to 6 trophies from the training version of an avatar, which will unlock all divine specializations. You will need trophies from the champion version to learn Aspects.

Aspect Abilities

The Aspect of Vengeance is armed with a bow which transforms into a cannon and can summon lightnings that strike enemies. If enemies get too close, you can create a barrier of arrows and then use it to boost your abilities.

AbilityDescription
pfPiercing FlareShoots an assault bow in the selected direction and deals damage to all enemies in the area of effect.

A target affected by Storm Charge takes extra damage and creates a damage wave with a range of 5 yards around them. The effect is removed, and the god gains 2 charges for the Astral Cannon ability.

If they take damage from this ability, the target also takes damage from the arrows of Thunder Barrier if they are less than 5 yards away.
scStorm ChargeDeals damage in the area around the selected target and to all enemies near the arrows of Thunder Barrier. Applies Storm Charge to the target which deals damage over time for 5 seconds.
tbThunder BarrierFires 6 arrows into the sky that form a line when they fall. The line exists for 15 seconds and deals damage to all enemies that cross it, paralyzing them for 2 seconds. Strong enemies are also affected by the paralysis. When it runs out, the enemy becomes immune to this paralyzing effect for 20 seconds.
acAstral CannonTurns the bow into a cannon that rapidly fires energy charges.
msMelting ShotFires a powerful plasma projectile in the selected direction that deals damage to all enemies in the area of effect. Consumes 1 plasma cannon charge.

If the projectile crosses Thunder Barrier, its damage and area of effect are increased.
gfGod's FuryA huge weapon appears in the sky and fires 4 shots at enemies within 30 yards, hitting targets with the most amount of health. After that, the weapon falls on the enemy surrounded by the biggest number of enemies and explodes, dealing damage to everyone within 30 yards.


Aspect Nodes

The best part comes when you unlock the nodes of the new aspect. They grant the character several nice bonuses and extra mobility– after unlocking the gold node, you will be able to use special sparks to upgrade your equipment. They are unique for each invasion army. You can get them in the third distortion– one spark is guaranteed when you successfully complete your first run of the day. The rest drop with a certain chance.

n1The duration of paralysis applied by Thunder Barrier is increased by 1/2/3/4 second(s).
n2Three subsequent projectiles fired by Astral Cannon increase the damage of all subsequent shots by 10%. The effect stacks up to 4 times depending on the level of the talent.
n3Each rank of this bonus improves a symbol in the Emergency Maneuver category:

• Emergency Maneuver: Trap. Increases damage dealt by traps spawned by this symbol.
• Emergency Maneuver: Shock Wave. Makes the shock wave twice as powerful.
• Emergency Maneuver: Breakout. Stuns enemies in a wider area.
• Emergency Maneuver: Dodge. Increases the duration of immunity to control effects from 4 to 7 seconds.
n4Storm Charge deals 10/20/30/40% more damage.
n5Increases damage dealt by the aspect by 5/10/15/20%.
n6Increases damage dealt by the following abilities by 7/14/21/28%:

• Rapid Fire (Gunner),
• Lead Carousel (Outlaw),
• Arrow Storm (Archer).
n7Increases damage dealt by the following abilities by 9/18/27%:

• Pulse Shot (Gunner),
• Sureshot (Outlaw),
• Piercing Shot (Archer).
n8Increases the following stats by 1/2/3:

• Mobility when dashing,
• Mobility after healing,
• Mobility when wounded.
n9Astral Cannon deals 15/30/45% more damage to enemies affected by Storm Charge. The duration of Storm Charge on them will be refreshed.
n10Increases all damage by 4/8/12%.
n11If the target takes damage from Piercing Flare, the range of Thunder Barrier will be increased by 2/4/6 yards.
n12If Piercing Flare hits enemies in an awakened sphere of the Aspect of Magic, it grants the god 1/2/3 Astral Cannon charge(s).
n13Allows you to modify artifacts and add attributes that increase damage to an invasion army.

When you unlock this node, you will be able to gain sparks of the army in the third distortion of each series. Each spark type adds a bonus to the artifact that increases damage to the respective invasion army. Applying the same spark again will increase that bonus.

An artifact can have up to 3 attributes. There is a special spark that changes attributes. You can get one from each distortion during a single invasion.

Increases the amount of Cognition you gain by 20%.

These sparks add unique attributes to artifacts, increasing damage to enemies of the corresponding army. Minimum bonus is 2%, maximum is 9%. When applied again, sparks increase the bonus by 1%. One legendary artifact can have 3 different attributes, meaning you can deal increased damage to three different invasion armies. Epic and rare artifacts can have 2 and 1 attribute respectively. Keep in mind that modifying the artifact – adding, upgrading, or replacing attributes – costs credits.

Artifact attributes are not the only way you can increase your damage to invaders. Flavius's laboratory offers a few bonuses. To save you the effort of calculating the combined bonus of all the nodes and attributes, we added these attributes (damage to army) to the stat list.

If you want to change an attribute, you can use a Spark of Potential. You can get only four per invasion – one for each completed distortion. When applied, it can replace the selected attribute with a bonus to damage to another army. Using this spark will reduce the stat value by 1-3 points. For example, during an Oceanid invasion, you upgraded the bonus to damage to them to 9%. But when the enemy left Aelion, you decided to change this bonus. When you apply a Spark of Potential, damage to another army will be boosted instead, but the new bonus will be 6, 7, or 8%.

The Draconids have mobilized their forces in the Toxic Wasteland of Terra. As their lasers bore into the planet’s crust, a metal malevolence skulks in the shadows. Amp up and rage against the Draconid machine in Rock and Metal, a brand-new Skyforge expansion!

ADVENTURE ON TERRA: TOXIC WASTELAND

The Draconids of Terra are formidable opponents. The Immortals deciphered their language, studied their culture, and foiled their attempts to conquer the Heart of the City in a previous adventure. However, the Draconids have now set their sights on a dark excavation beneath the Toxic Wasteland, and what they unearth beneath their impenetrable energy dome may tip the scales of power on Terra.

In this new adventure, you’re tasked with navigating these industrial badlands safely, exploring the area, defeating Draconid patrols, and finding a way into that dome. Amidst the scorched earth, toxic swamps, deadly fumes, and Phytonide hordes, you’ll encounter plenty of hazards and resistance efforts, but intelligence can be gleaned from certain safe zones. Fighting your way to the dig site will be tough, but it shouldn’t be much of a problem for Aelion’s finest!

Beneath the dome, a terrible enemy lies in wait. The Draconid base’s commander, Kerax, is a hulking, monstrous cyborg who has melded his scaly flesh with deadly machinery. This is a heavy metal threat of the highest order – bring him down to stop the excavation, and save Terra from the Draconids’ plans! 3 NEW WEAPONS: FIGHT ROCK WITH METAL

You’re gonna need something hard and heavy to put a dent in the Draconids’ dome. Unleash the power of the Black Metal Collection, an amped-up arsenal of weapons for the Firestarter, Soundweaver, and Grovewalker classes! Inspired by the dark edges of rock, punk, and metal culture, these weapons are raucous, resilient, and ready to rock enemies to their core.

Arm yourself with three new bundles from the store:

  • Flower of Evil Pack: Experience the nirvana of a world in bloom. Contains an exclusive thyrsus, a Grovewalker class unlock, 7 days of Premium time, and 1,000 Ether Catalysts!
  • Rhapsody of Pain: Amp up for maximum damage. Contains an electrifying, exclusive guitar, a Soundweaver class unlock, 7 days of Premium time, and 1,000 Ether Catalysts!
  • Playing with Fire Pack: Give ‘em a show to remember. Contains exclusive flaming torches, a Firestarter class unlock, 7 days of Premium time, and 1,000 Ether Catalysts!


The Firestarter can rock a pair of new torches, collectively referred to as Abyss, Crucible of Chaos. Using the torches’ Pentagram ability, you can score higher critical rates on Flaming Spheres fired through rings generated by the Path of Flame ability.

The Grovewalker wields a spiky new thyrsus called Sigil, Master of Suffering. Use its new Gothic Thorns ability to amplify the Shield of Thorns’ effectiveness, helping it to deflect 60% of damage received. Gothic Thorns will also help the Living Missile ability do four times the damage, and you can also enjoy reduced cooldown on your Shield of Thorns when the Swing and Living Missile abilities hit their mark.

Finally, the Soundweaver gets a brand-new axe to shred: Khella, Kiss of Death. While the Fiery Solo is cooling down, the Soundweaver will gain the new Overcharge ability. This makes the current rhythm play twice as fast, causing all amplifiers to explode for a grand finale (just like Back to the Future)!

Weapons


RANGED ELDER GOD FORM: ASPECT OF VENGEANCE

Unleash a new Elder God form. The Aspect of Vengeance is a powerful ranged form that can be accessed by any class, while being the default Aspect for Archers, Outlaws, and Gunners. This gigantic blue marksman wields mastery over bows and plasma cannons, and can summon divine lightning, volleys, and punishing weapons from the sky. Utilise the Aspect of Vengeance’s supreme deadeye abilities, and let none escape your sights alive!

  • Astral Cannon (Weapon Switch): The Aspect of Vengeance’s bow is transformed into a cannon that rapidly fires energy charges. This ability alternates your standard attack between Piercing Flare and Melting Shot.
  • Piercing Flare (Left-Click): Unleash your vengeance, and launch a ranged assault on enemies directly and within the area of effect! Targets affected by Storm Charge will take extra damage, while a damage wave with a 5 yard radius will also be created around them. Attacked targets will also take further damage if they’re within 5 yards of a Thunder Barrier. After the effect is over, you will receive 2 charges for the Astral Cannon ability.
  • Melting Shot (Left-Click): Fire a powerful plasma projectile to dish out area of effect damage to groups of enemies. Combine the Melting Shot with Thunder Barrier to increase damage and the area of effect!
  • Storm Charge (Right-Click): Deals electrifying damage to the area around a selected target, and to all enemies close to a Thunder Barrier. Targets will receive damage for 5 seconds.
  • Thunder Barrier: Loose six arrows into the sky, which form a line when they fall. For 15 seconds, any enemies that cross the line will be damaged and paralysed for 2 seconds. Even strong enemies can be caught in the barrier!
  • God’s Fury (Ultimate Ability): A weapon of terrible judgement appears in the sky and fires 4 shots at enemies with a 30 yard radius, singling out targets with the most health. The weapon will then fall in the densest area of enemies, dishing out huge damage!


If you haven’t unlocked any powerful Elder God forms yet, it’s easier than ever before. After you’ve worked your way through the Temple of Deeds and completed all the Halls, you will gain access to the Hall of the Elder Gods. Here, you can unlock Aspects. You’ll need Avatar Trophies, which you can get by playing through an Invasion, defeating the new Training Avatars and the main Avatar of the Invasion, and claiming their Trophies. Rack up Avatar Trophies from Invasion events to unlock the Aspect of Vengeance, Aspect of Magic, Aspect of Tenacity, Aspect of Rage, and Aspect of Mercy.

The Oceanid Invasion will be active in Skyforge until January 2020, giving you enough time over the holidays to send the monstrous Oceanid Avatar, Tol Monter, and his Training Avatars back to the briny ocean depths, and claim their Avatar Trophies! Winter Celebration Ingame Event 2019

It's time for winter fun in Skyforge! From December 17, 2019 to January 8, 2020, the Winter Celebration will take place in the game. Participate in winter festivities and have fun!

New items in the Market

You will find many seasonal items and emotes that can be purchased with Icy Gems!

Complete holiday quests and earn Icy Gems! They can then be exchanged for unique accessories or mounts in the Market. This year we added the following items to the holidays section:

  • Blizzard Experimental Skates,
  • Immortal on Ice emote,
  • Winter Fun emote,
  • Winter Patterns Tattoo Set,
  • Winter Celebration Halo (2 styles),
  • Winter Mystery Helmet (2 styles),
  • and color options for your favorite costumes!

SKATING TRACK AND NEW CHALLENGES

A giant Ice Arrow track has opened in Aelinar. You can also visit the training track, Silver Road. Test your skills in a solo run or compete against other players. Everyone can participate in the competitions. The tracks can be accessed through the adventure list.

And make sure to visit the tracks during Happy Hours! Participate in speed skating competitions from 12:00 to 13:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00 to receive an increased number of Icy Gems.

A new set of holiday challenges awaits you – complete them to receive a special portrait center and decoration!

List of Challenges

  • Herald of Winter: During the event, defeat five immortals in rated PvP as a Cryomancer.
  • Winter Training: Complete three sessions on the Silver Road track and earn at least 750 points in each session.
  • Unbeatable Speed Skater: Win first place in a skating race on the Ice Arrow track at least five times.
  • Flawless Performance: Cross the finish line on both skating tracks without falling once. Reward: new portrait center.
  • Professional Speed Skater: Complete the main challenges related to the Silver Road and Ice Arrow skating tracks. Reward: new portrait decoration.

Surprises under the Tree and Khelp Hunt

During the event, log into the game and go straight to the park! You will find a present under the holiday tree! You will get one present every day until you collect all 14!

Khelp Hunt

When you enter an adventure, you may run into Asterius, learn the history of the holiday, and receive a few cryocapsules. With these items, you will earn a snowball for every victory over a monster. Snowballs will also come in handy when you encounter a Khelp Prankster in an adventure (Squad, Group, or Invasion).

All picked-up weapons will change their appearance during the event. Khelp Pranksters are a special subspecies of Oceanid that has lived on Aelion since ancient times. They become active during certain periods. All they want to do is disrupt the Winter Celebration.

Without a divine form, the only thing you can use against them is a magic snowball. They are truly bizarre creatures! These Khelps will try to steal your loot in Squad or Group adventures (Nerion’s Castle or Aristel's Farm). If you don't pelt them with snowballs as soon as they show up, they will grab your loot and run off, laughing triumphantly. And if you succeed, you will get the Khelp's loot as well. We know they always have at least one stolen gift with them.

The small chest may contain fireworks, snowballs, or Icy Gems. Or all three, if you are lucky!

If you want Khelp Pranksters to never bother you again, you can get a special amulet. Check the Events section of the Market.

Participate in events, collect Icy Gems, purchase special costumes and mounts, but most importantly, have fun!

Legendary Weapon Abilities
  • Abyss, Crucible of Chaos: The second leap of Path of Flame spawns rings that increase the critical chance of Flaming Spheres that fly through them by 60%.
  • Khella, Kiss of Death: The Soundweaver gains the Overcharge ability: it makes the current rhythm 2 times more powerful and blows up all amplifiers in 10 seconds, dealing damage to enemies.
  • Sigil, Master of Suffering: Shield of Thorns reflects 60% of damage dealt to the Grovewalker and increases damage dealt by Living Missile 3 times. Hitting enemies with Living Missile and melee attacks reduces the remaining cooldown of Shield of Thorns.

You battle invaders bravely, but the enemy does not relent. The Oceanids continue their advance on Aelion. Their invasion will last a week longer –– until January 15, 2020.

Use this time wisely! Try to complete as many seasonal challenges as you can to collect all rewards. Fight the champion incarnation of Tol-Monter and unlock the bonuses of the new Aspect of Vengeance. If you haven't unlocked all specializations in the Temple of Deeds yet, you can get up to six trophies from the training version of the avatar!

Don't forget to eliminate distortion bosses. Earn the maximum number of points in the Sinking Feeling event–– it has been extended as well and will end together with the Oceanid invasion. You can ensure 10 days of special rates for yourself, and if you defeat the champion incarnation of Tol-Monter, you will receive a Sailor Costume and Headwear!

Promotion: The Path of a Hero

Many believe that most work on Aelion is accomplished thanks to the immortals, but that is not true. Their efforts are simply more likely to be noticed. What about mortal heroes? There are plenty of them all across Aelion. Sadly, their names are largely lost to history.

Asterius intends to rectify this glaring injustice. He starts his new work –– a song of valor and courage displayed by those who did not come to share the gift of immortality but were equally impressive in their heroic pursuits.

One of the first people he wants to write about is Elias Faуe, a brave pilot who took on the hardest missions and never failed to help those in need. He was carrying a shipment of medicine to a remote village when his plane disappeared over the desert.

The Chronicler God would be grateful if you managed to find out anything about the missing hero. Whether he survived or not, people must know what happened.

  • Any immortal that has reached the second region of the campaign can take part in this event.
  • To take part in the event, open the special interface (9 key). You can send your adepts on one 8-hour mission by spending credits. As soon as the mission is over, you can send them on the next one.
  • Missions can be completed instantly if you have Intelligence Data or the required amount of Argents.
  • You can obtain Intelligence Data by killing bosses and fulfilling directives (Squad, Group, Invasion). Once you have 3,000 Intelligence Data, you can only get it as a reward for killing bosses. You can purchase an Intelligence Data Extractor in the Resources section of the Market. It increases the amount of Intelligence Data received for directives.

The rules are simple: just open the card and take the treasures hidden in it! Participate, earn rewards, and try your hand at winning the Triumph grand prize!

Traveling Merchant

Like the last time, you will find green coins among the rewards. Go to the mysterious merchant in the Aelinar park and exchange the coins for various goods.

  • Speak with the traveling merchant, and he will offer you a unique item in exchange for a handful of green coins.
  • He likes to talk and haggle. Ask him to lower the price, but don’t be too stingy!
  • People say he’s good at remembering faces. However, he will probably forget everything the next day, including the discount you might have discussed. So when you hear a good offer, go for it - he might not be as generous next time!
  • Inside the lootbox, you will find a generation 23 legendary weapon for your current class! Additional properties will be randomly selected from the list - you can find it under the spoiler below. The merchant has yet to acquire special weapons for the new class, so if you open the box with a Firestarter, you will receive a random weapon for another class.

Triumph

Triumph’s size and names of the lucky winners are displayed on the right side of the screen. The luckiest will get a big prize! 140,850 Argents (EU) / 186,400 Argents (NA) is just the starting amount of the Triumph. It will be increased by 100 Argents for every 5 tickets purchased by players.

And once a player wins the grand prize, the game starts again, and the amount will return to its starting value.

SEASONAL CHALLENGES

Defend Aelion. Level up. Unlock epic loot.

Seasonal Challenges are a progression system where you can complete special challenges to earn points. As you earn points, you can unlock up to 20 tiers of special rewards throughout the Reapers Invasion, including exclusive items that are available for a limited time only.

Seasonal Achievements are divided into Easy, Normal, and Hard categories, and will be unlocked as the Invasion progresses (in the first, third, and fifth weeks). You can earn more points when you complete certain challenges within the first few days of each stage, so check back often to blaze through the Seasonal Challenges and Invasion Pass even faster!

You will face your greatest challenge in Thanatos, God of Death and Avatar of the Reapers Invasion. Defeat him when he arrives during the third week of the Invasion to claim his Avatar Trophy – you can collect more Trophies to unlock Divine Aspects, and carry on smashing challenges as they appear to earn points and rewards!

REWARDS

The Reapers Invasion includes up to 20 levels of available rewards.

10 tiers are available for free, offering special rewards such as: game currency, Premium time, an epic weapon, a Mythical Equipment Capsule, Hyperion Lease Contracts, the Templar Guard Armor, a Mirror Cube, and lots more!

For a full list of rewards, check out the dedicated Invasion Pass page. If you already own any of the featured rewards (including the Mark of the Reapers Death and Templar Guard Armor), you will instead receive 1,000 Victor’s Medals.

Promotion: Thea-1

Thea is one of Aelion's satellites. Every day, our people can see it in the sky. Until recently Thea was a part of the mysterious and unexplored cosmos, but after Flavius invented spaceships for short-distance travel, our researchers managed to uncover a few of its secrets.

Our first base was named Thea-1. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in an attack by the local fauna. They used whatever they learned from the previous experience to make the next base, Thea-2, sturdier. It became the center of Aelion's expansion.

The largest satellite of Aelion has yet to surrender all its mysteries. However, Thea has been quite thoroughly explored, so Flavius has finally lifted the ban that prohibited mortals from visiting the planet.

That is why your adepts can respond to Professor Lazarus's call and visit the lost station Thea-1 in order to find out why the equipment in the laboratory is sending strange signals.

Improved Regeneration Implant will allow you to recharge group consumables, including Reanimators: it does not depend on other allies or affect them.
