A new ranged class is available since October 6th: the Outlaw! Outlaws are master marksmen with their two revolvers and their dynamite sticks, and they also move quickly around the battlefield, hitting their enemies´ most vulnerable spots!

And while we are all waiting for the final Ascension update to come out on October 19th, let us meet the new class!

This must be the first time when official sources couldn’t find the origins of the new incarnation of the immortals. No mysterious backstories, ancient schools or monasteries; only the harsh reality and a whole bunch of rumors. Peasants that took up weapons, ex-convicts, and hermits that lost their families and friends: the people of Aelion call them simply ‘Outlaws.’ The Council of Gods regards these loner heroes with caution, but to refuse aid in these dire times would be a folly.

In battle, the Outlaws rely on their quickness and skill. They can easily evade their enemies’ attacks and quickly approach their targets to deliver an impressive finishing headshot (do those Mechanoids even have heads?). Armed with a pair of revolvers, they can both shoot single targets with precision and spray hordes of enemies with bullets! They also serve their enemies a whole bunch of dynamite sticks for dessert!

They say that the Outlaws are reckless, but that proves to be nothing but a pretense. When that soldier shifts to their dueling stance, their simple-minded enemies have no clue that in a couple of seconds they will meet their end. Their well-aimed shots hit the most vulnerable spots of their targets, inflicting colossal damage.

Abilities

• Rapid Fire. Deals damage to the target, restores energy, and slows down enemies. Every shot gives the Outlaw a stackable Fire Adjustment effect.
• Sure Shot. Deals significant damage to the enemies in the line of sight. Removes all Fire Adjustment levels and increases its damage for every effect removed.
• Combat Readiness. After performing two Dashes in a row, the Outlaw receives significantly reduced damage for several seconds and is able to use the Dance of Fools ability.
• Dance of Fools. Removes all control effects, makes the Outlaw immune to them, and increases movement speed for several seconds. The ability can be used by the context action when the Outlaw is stunned, disoriented, blinded, scared, or disarmed, and can also be used while those effects are active.
• Whirlwind of Lead. Inflicts damage to enemies surrounding the Outlaw. The closer the enemy is, the more damage they will receive. You can use a Dash without interrupting the ability. Successful hits on three and more enemies have a low chance of applying a Firecracker effect to the Outlaw, that allows them to use one Dancing Grenade with increased damage for free.
• Dancing Grenade. Throws a grenade in front of them, that bounces off the obstacles and explodes upon hitting an enemy or after some time. Also, when using the Dancing Grenade during the Whirlwind of Lead, the Outlaw will throw several sticks instead of just one in random directions. If several sticks hit the same target, all the sticks except the first one will inflict reduced damage.
• Dueling Stance. The outlaw shifts to the dueling stance that replaces the Rapid Fire, the Whirlwind of Lead, and the Sure Shot. While in the dueling stance, LMB and RMB will allow you to fire continuous precise shots at a single target, from your left and right revolver correspondingly. After a succession of four alternating shots, the last projectile will inflict an enormous amount of damage, activate the Impulse Charge, and stun the enemy. After that, the Outlaw terminates the stance.
• The Quick and the Dead. Inflicts damage on enemies in a cone-shaped area in front of the Outlaw. The time of the effect grows with the amount of targets. Damage against weak creatures has a high chance of multiplying many times. By using this ability you will stun monsters and slow down the players’ characters.
• Barrage. Replaces the Outlaw’s Rapid Fire for several seconds. Starts firing special powerful bullets on the enemies in a selected direction that knock them back. Every enemy killed increases the duration of the ability by several seconds, without a total duration limit.

The Outlaw is a class for those who prefer impressive duels and are used to rely on nobody but themselves! The wide range of attack abilities will allow you to inflict consistent damage on your enemies, and dirty tricks will help you to avoid some unfortunate consequences during the fight. PVE adventures are where the Outlaw truly shines as an attack character, and PvP will leave even the most seasoned warriors in dismay.

As players are sure to have noticed, the Divine Specialization system has undergone changes in Skyforge’s Ascension. The global update radically changed the process of exploring and developing divine abilities and it will establish a direct link between how successfully quests are completed in the Divine Form and increasing specialization levels. The key currency that will enable you to improve your divine form will be your own actions!

Bonuses provided by Divine Specializations and the Divine Form have also been reviewed. Experienced players will probably notice that the game has kept only the most relevant and interesting of them, while beginners will be able to appreciate the simple and clear development system.

But the main thing is that Skyforge will get two new specializations: God of Machines and God of Magic. Follow the path of the lord of technology and find new ways to use items that seem familiar. Alternatively, select the path of magic to get extra opportunities for team play and strengthening of allies! Or best of all - learn both specializations. More means better!

Temple of Deeds

The Divine Atlas and Specialization Atlas have disappeared from the game and will be replaced with a special building - the Temple of Deeds, located in the Capital. All immortals that receive Divine Form can build the temple and it will not require any additional investment. The bonus system will also be redesigned. Now players will not have to delve into descriptions, selecting which node to explore and finding the optimal path to it. The number of Divine Specialization skills will go down in quantity and up in quality. Players will successively explore new abilities that logically complement each other.

To unlock a new ability, you will have to reach a certain value on the Divine Deeds scale. To do that you need to earn the relevant points by completing any activity in the Divine Form. A new specialization is considered unlocked after you learn its first ability. However, you must have an Avatar Trophy and sufficient Divine Deed points to learn an ability.

The more difficult the adventure selected, the more points you will earn. For example, destroying the invading army avatar will earn the maximum possible points, while completing a single quest in a Region will earn you the minimum. The consumption of Faith required to activate the Divine Form will also depend on the difficulty of the adventure. For example, where previously the transfer cost was the same (700 faith points) in Invasion adventures, whether they were for 3 or 10 players, now in adventures for 3 players it will require 160 faith points and in those for 10 - 320. In addition, there are a whole range of extra bonuses, which will help reduce the consumption of this resource. They will not just be found in the God of Travels specialization either, but also in many others.

Note that each of the Divine Specializations has its own progress scale. Receiving deed points will equally affect each of them but you can only study a talent in one specialization, after which the scale will have to be filled again.

The Temple of Deeds interface has 8 tabs. The first (called God's Abilities) contains the bonuses previously contained in the Divine Atlas. These significantly increase the efficiency of Divine Form. The other 7 are specializations.

What will happen to the resources you have and specializations you have already explored? Players who have already unlocked one or several Divine Specializations will still have access to them after the update. The level of their development will directly depend on the level of development of the relevant atlases. If a player has divine revelations left in their bag, these will be converted into Avatar Trophies at a 1 for 1 rate.

But to receive Avatar Trophies you need to defeat incarnations of the invading army gods and Invasions now last up to 2 months. Surely new players don't have to wait months to catch up with the amount of Divine Specializations their friends have do they? Not at all! You can obtain Avatar Trophies by defeating the training versions. To do that, players who have already obtained Divine Form but unlocked less than three Divine Specializations will have to carry out a special directive. Players that have not explored any Divine Specializations can obtain several Avatar Trophies - one for each victory over a training version of the head of the invasion army.

The God of Travels' specialization stands apart. To study it, players need a special item — the Book of Divinity. You can get it with Victor's Medals.

Due to the global redesign of the Order and Equipment system, the God of Knowledge specialization has disappeared from the game. All immortals with this specialization have received up to 30,000 Victor's Medals in compensation.

NEW DIVINE SPECIALIZATIONS

Let us take a closer look at the new specializations that are available as well!
The God of Machines specialization will be enjoyed by all fans of PvP. By exploring it, you will not just obtain a significant boost to damage in combat against enemy players, but also a considerable variety in damage application methods. Thanks to this specialization, an effective fighter can become... your companion! In addition, the efficiency of all Hyperion modules will increase. The God of Machines will instill terror in the hearts of your enemies, for even the heavens are on its side!

The God of Magic specialization will be enjoyed by players who prefer group PvE combat. Increased divine skill efficiency, increased damage against monsters, reduced incoming damage, reduced cost of transferring to Divine Form, if players are part of a group, — this is a useful range of abilities for those who prefer team play. Having a player in the group that has followed the God of Magic path is a guarantee for a successful and easy raid!

The new divine specialization system enables players to focus on the game process and not on the distribution of resources and selection of optimum development paths. Now the level of efficiency when using Divine Forms will directly depend on how players use them, what decisions they take,, and what quests they complete.

What was added to the game in this update?

COUNCIL OF GODS

The game has added a demo version of the Council of Gods - a unique political system that allows players to elect 12 leaders, who will gain power over the community. The first elections start today! Game characters you are well familiar with have put themselves forward as candidates. Visit the Divine Observatory to find out who they are!
You will receive a special ballot when you first enter the game. Give it to the hologram of your selected candidate. Do they have the best program and should form part of the council? Then encourage other players to vote for them! After all, the directives you receive will be chosen by the council members.

NEW BOSS

The avatar of the great god of the Oceanids has arrived in Aelion. He is fierce and dangerous and you absolutely must defeat him. Tol-Monter is a formidable adversary. Before fighting him personally, junior gods can expect many challenges! As many of you already know, the avatar has 2 incarnations: champion - which is already available and training, which you can only visit if you receive a special directive that comes on Thursdays and Sundays.

Onwards to the Ascension, immortals!

We are delighted to announce the launch of sale of in-game valuables. October 19th to 26th, you will have a chance to purchase two of the most important currencies at a significant discount. These items will be of use both to the players who log in only occasionally, accumulating several directives and completing them in 1-2 days, and to the users that don't want to participate in activities they are not interested in. The stimulants allow you to save your in-game time and focus on the quests you want to complete yourself.

Knowledge of Enemies will also enjoy a 30% discount. The importance of that resource can hardly be underestimated: it allows you to upgrade your Tower of Knowledge and thus improve your character's base stat: its Might. The higher its value, the more efficiently can your hero deal with the challenges of the game. Do remember that many of the Trophy Hall promotions increase your character's Might boost from the Tower of Knowledge at a proportional rate. Correspondingly, the higher its rank, the more boosted will the stat be by the Trophy Hall. Additionally, you can unlock a new class for the Knowledge of Enemies!

Skyforge’s big expansion Ascension launches today, and we’ve been playing the game’s pre-patch changes in anticipation of the big update. What we’ve found are a slew of very welcome changes to a game that seemed needlessly complex at launch.

We wrote about this expansion in interviews, and in news articles, but until the past week we hadn’t really gone hands on with many of the changes its bringing. Much like other MMORPGs, Skyforge chose to roll out a load of the new system changes to the game in a “pre-patch” before the Ascension content hits the servers on the 19th (today).

Nearly every facet of the game saw some change. The Ascension Atlas is gone, and in its place is a Campaign Map that tries to more coherently tell the story of Aelion while guiding you through progression of your character and unlocking the classes. It was wondrous to see that my previous work on the game during the review had made it so every single class was unlocked, save the brand new dual-pistol wielding Outlaw. New and returning players will unlock them now through the campaign map, as you unlock missions to obtain them via the map and progressing through its various regions. Some might make the argument that this makes the overall arc of Skyforge more linear, but frankly it’s for the better here as it’s much simpler to understand how to unlock classes and what you should be doing...

Immortals, with Halloween coming around the corner, the time for spooky encounters, scary places, and mysterious creatures are upon us! Here at My.com, we are preparing some special “treats” for you! The Oceanid invasion is coming to its final stretch: many players have gained an over 50% increase to their Combat Superiority and managed to collect valuables and Stones of Strength with a x35 multiplier. Alciona and Melia are defeated, and Lorro the Cold, barely reborn, fell again, stricken down by a group of epic brooch hunters.

Many think that this invasion no longer poses a threat to Aelionians. However, this is an illusion. Today begins the fifth week of the invasion, which means that the difficulty level of all group adventures and raids has been updated, and now allows you to receive the latest-generation equipment.

DISTORTIONS

The last generals of the Oceanid army have arrived. To this day, you might have thought Lorro the Cold together with Alciona and Melia formidable enemies. But now a real battle awaits the heroes!

RAID

By successfully fighting the demons hiding in the ruins of the ancient temple you will receive the new equipment you require. Hurry to the Operation Ophelia, immortal!

GROUPS

Three group adventures have been updated to the current difficulty level at once: Icy Plateau, Daren Facility, and Hespilon Temple. Try those before setting out on the more difficult adventures.

By assembling a set of the best equipment and gaining more Combat Superiority, you will undoubtedly become a threat to Tol-Monter. Challenge the avatar of the evil Oceanid deity. If not you, then who else?

OPERATIONS

Oceanids are not the only ones to threaten Aelion! Armies of other enemies, knowing no respite, attack peaceful settlements, capture factories, and destroy ancient cultural heritage. Fight back against them by participating in the new set of operations.

To unlock the operations, complete any Squad, Group, or Invasion adventure. By fulfilling all of the requirements, you will receive Credits and Knowledge of Enemies. And those that manage to collect enough tokens, will be able to move on to the next operation—which are rewarded with Argents.

Are you interested in streaming or recording Skyforge? We have prepared a special tool for you. With the Game Center Streaming and Video feature, sharing your epic gameplay is now easier than ever!
The new tool allows you to create a live Skyforge broadcast using your Twitch account, record Skyforge videos and take epic screenshots.

Streaming

To start your live Skyforge broadcasting, please select the Create Broadcast option from the menu.

You will then be required to select the stream window size. The smaller the window, the lower the connection and performance requirements will be.

The broadcasting function requires an active Twitch account, a Youtube account or a Restream.io account. Please enter the Username and Password of your account to the My.com login window that appears. Select which service you want to use in the Configuration window (Twitch.tv is the default setting).

Upon successful login, press the Start Broadcast button to begin your live stream. You can also select the microphone and general volumes using the interface sliders and open the stream configuration window by pressing the cog button. Exit the feature by pressing the X button on the right side of the interface bar.

The Configuration window allows you to select:

• Sound settings – select your input device manually in case the microphone is not working
• Hotkey to start and end the stream
• Resolution and Bitrate – adjust per your connection's restrictions (please note that selecting a higher resolution and bitrate than your connection can handle will result in lags and image stuttering)
• Broadcast server – you can select from Twitch, Youtube and Restream.io streaming service as well as (in Twitch) select the server nearest to you manually

For Youtube and Restream.io broadcast, please follow the Configuration instructions carefully. A broadcast key has to be generated on the service's website and pasted to the appropriate area of the Configuration window to ensure the security of the stream.

Once the configuration is finalized, press the OK button to continue.

Recording Videos

To start recording Skyforge videos, please select the Record Video option from the menu.

You will then be required to select the video window size. The smaller the window, the lower the performance and hard drive space requirements will be.

Upon selecting the video window size, recording will begin immediately. Please make sure you are already within the Skyforge client. Alternatively, press the Stop button to stop recording.

The image button opens up a window with the screenshots and videos files. All recorded videos and screenshots made using the Game Center feature will be added to this folder automatically and can be viewed or deleted. Please note that the folder where the files are saved can be changed in the Configuration window.

The Configuration window for video recording can be opened using the cog button. It allows you to select:

• Hotkey to start and end the recording
• Resolution, Bitrate and Frames per Second
• Video saving folder

Please make sure you have enough free drive space to save the recordings.

Saving Screenshots

To save an Skyforge screenshot, please select the Screenshot Area option from the menu.

You will then be required to select the screenshot area, after which a simple screenshot editor opens up. The editor allows you to perform the following actions (from left to right):

• Move any object, created by this tool, around the screenshot area
• Use a freehand brush to mark areas of significance (color and thickness can be selected on the lower bar)
• Draw a straight line
• Draw an arrow (useful for pointing out objects on the screens for players to pay attention to)
• Insert a number to the screenshot area
• Insert a rectangle to the screenshot area
• Insert a circle to the screenshot area
• Insert simple text to the screenshot area
• Scrap the picture
• Save the picture

The color and thickness of all objects can be selected on the lower bar. Number, rectangle, circle and text features can also have optional background.
The screenshot is saved to a pre-defined folder, which can be selected in the Configuration window.

The Configuration window for video recording can be opened by pressing the downward arrow right of the Save button and selecting Settings from the menu. It allows you to select:

• Hotkey to take an area screenshot or a screenshot of an entire active window
• Screenshot format (.png or .jpg)
• Picture quality
• Screenshot saving folder

Please note that the screenshot saving folder can be different from the video saving folder.
